Statistics: Marriage & Cohabitation
For some reason, the government stopped keeping official divorce statistics after 1996. But various government agencies and research institutions still study it. And the Administration for Children and Families was nice enough to pay the consultants at Abt Associates (no, I didn't misspell it, their name is Abt) to compile the Guide to Data Sources on Determinants of Marriage and Cohabitation.
It's a 150 page paper to other, longer papers! Suffice to say, it is an impenetrable document. But it is utterly indispensable if you're a serious researcher or academic who needs to delve into the cross-indices of variables (how does marriage relate to race, how does race relate to income, how are all three related, etc.) while having proper citation on every paragraph.
